In Loving Memory of Diana Gifford-Tuggle 💔
Things just won’t be the same at Riverfront without Diana. She was always ready to lend a hand—whether she was painting sets with her usual passion and grace, greeting patrons at the door, helping behind the scenes, or simply bringing her steady, no-nonsense warmth to every project she touched.
Diana was more than a volunteer; she was a dear friend to Riverfront and to so many of us who had the privilege of working beside her. Her talent, humor, and generous spirit left a mark on our hearts and on our stage. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her husband Mike and her family. We will miss her terribly—and we’ll carry her memory with us in every brushstroke and every performance. ❤️🎭

Meet Amanda Marsh (Annie Wilkes)

Amanda Marsh has been overjoyed to continue her journey with The Riverfront Playhouse and is thrilled to take on the challenge of bringing Annie Wilkes to life. She has previously appeared on the Riverfront stage as Ms. Johnson in The Minutes, Lucy in Fowl Play in French Gulch, Meredith in Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, and Judith in A Good Old Fashioned Big Family Christmas.

In addition to performing, Amanda has enjoyed working behind the scenes — co-directing A Moment of Weakness in 2024 and directing Ken Ludwig’s Leading Ladies in 2025.

Amanda would like to thank The Riverfront Playhouse for the incredible opportunities and creative family it has provided, as well as her friends and family for their love, encouragement, and unwavering support.

Meet Kent Bodensteiner (Paul Sheldon)

After a 15 year break from acting Kent returned to the theatre as Hal in Riverfront’s presentation of Proof. He has been stirring himself into the theatre ever since, notably taking on the role of Carp in Riverfront’s The Minutes in which the lines between art and reality become quite murky indeed. He is so proud of the growing Redding theatre scene and deeply inspired by the people who work so hard to bring this art to the audience. The community has done nothing less than help him to find a love of home and a positive sense of place. We’re doing really cool stuff here, and Kent is flattered that such talented and passionate people want him to be a be a part of it. Lucky life.

Seth Fortna plays Buster, the local deputy. Seth, who is also a fan of Stephen King’s original book and the 1990 film, knew the character was a pivotal role in the story and that there was an opportunity to share in some very intense moments with the audience. Instantly, he knew that Buster was the role he wanted.Although Seth usually acts on stage, next season he is taking on new production roles such as assistant director for the upcoming 2026 season’s Grave Mistakes: A Haunted Romance. Misery is his fourth show on the Riverfront Playhouse stage. Prior credits include leading Ladies, (Leo/Maxine) Tohidu (Brad), Ripcord (Clown, Lewis, & Benjamin), Peter and the Starcatcher (Smee), The Foreigner (Owen Musser).
